DCBS Kentucky Stories

i have an open case with dcbs and was really let down by them yesterday. My visit w my son was scheduled for a certain time. My worker called me two hours prior to the start of the visit and asked me to go take a drug test. the location of the testing place was about thirty miles away. i went to take the test and when i got there, there was already a long line. i was about 8th in line. i called my worker then and told her that there was a long line. i was afraid that it would cut into my visit time. i was an hour from my starting time at this point. i left there with 15 minutes to get back home. naturally i could not get there in the time that my visit was to start but was sure there would be no problem b/c they knew where i was and that i was on my way. i even had the person at the office there write on my results what time i had left. when i got to the office to start my visit, my worker met me at the door and told me my visit had been cancelled b/c i was late. i was heartbroken and let down that people in public office would display such behavior. i only get to see my child twice a month and they set me up to knock me out of one. i'm very upset and wish I had of gotten to visit.
